CMA raising truck, OTR tire prices up to 6% June 1
Tire Business staff report
MONROVIA, Calif. (May 19, 2011) - China Manufacturers Alliance L.L.C. (CMA) will raise prices on Double Coin- , associate- and private-brand truck tires and Double Coin radial OTR tires by up to 6 percent, effective June 1.
CMA, the Monrovia subsidiary of China's Double Coin Holdings, cited continuing rising costs for the need to raise prices. CMA described the changes as "a general price increase of up to 6 percent with some in-line changes."
"We are experiencing the same pressures that many in our industry are continuing to experience," said CMA Vice President Aaron Murphy. "Increases in natural and synthetic rubber, steel cord, oil and carbon black and other materials along with rising costs of ocean and inland transportation are major contributors for the change in pricing."
CMA last raised prices March 1, by 13 percent on Double Coin- and private-brand truck tires and Double Coin radial OTR tires.
Monrovia-based CMA, a subsidiary of China's Double Coin Holdings Ltd., handles several associate brands alongside the Double Coin brand, including Warrior, Dynatrail, Dynacargo, Dynastar, Bluestar and Superhawk.
